Overview of the Jack Newton Golf State Age Championships

Junior Golf State Age Championships held the spotlight at Sawtell and Coffs Harbour Golf Courses during the past week and there were a number of highlights from local players.

The outstanding achievement came from Amelia Mehmet-Grohn who is the 2013, 16 years State Age Champion. A fantastic result from a dedicated young golfer. Amelia was a three-shot winner from another local in Mia Jovanovich. Both girls now have a State title to their credit with Mia winning last year. The Girls took 4th and 5th in the overall championship.

Jack Pountney showed again he has a great future in the game and was unlucky to finish just one shot behind Issac Noh in the 14years Boys title. His score of 5 over was enough to take T9th in the overall championship.
